About Kim

Born and raised in Rochester, MN, Kim kept herself busy with school, dance team, and watching her brother play hockey. After graduating high school, she attended North Dakota State University and earned a BS in Elementary Education. Within months of graduating college, Kim married her high school sweetheart, Alan De Keyrel, and they moved back to the Rochester area so Alan could focus on CWS.

After being a teacher, medical secretary, and realtor, Kim settled down as a stay-at-home mom to their two kids for ten years and helped Alan behind the scenes with CWS. She loved being able to watch Alan and the team grow and she became an “official” part of CWS in September 2012. Now, she does HR, Community Development (CWS Cares), and works to maintain the happiness of the team through awards, team building exercises, and fun social gatherings. Kim also handles project management with some of the clients. Although not everyone can enjoy working with their spouse, Kim and Alan seem to balance things well.

Kim has been a wish-granter for the Make a Wish Foundation of MN since 2009 and became a board member in 2012. Getting to see the joy in the kids’ faces when their wishes come true gives her the greatest sense of giving back.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with Alan and their kids, Kylie and Carson, as well as golfing, camping, and getting together with friends.
